I am writing this post from a hotel terrace in Santa Marta, Colombia. I’ve had a few days to relax and reflect on the past year and to formalise my plans for Brite Social.
I am really excited about 2014 and can’t wait to get started. I’m not one for making resolutions, per se, as they always tend to fade into oblivion after a few weeks (a few months at best!).
This time around I have a single focus, and this is to carry on from the last part of 2013 and continue to provide valuable advice and marketing services for my clients, prospects and readers. To help keep me on track throughout the year, and to refer to as my compass, I would like to share my mission statement with you:
Through my website Brite Social I will help leisure, destination and entertainment business owners to effectively market their websites using location based search, social media and mobile. I help you solve the “where do i start”, “how can i generate more leads” and “what is the best way to do this” questions posed by everyday business owners, just like you, and I do so by empowering you to take control of your own internet marketing through free and premium resources published through britesocial.com
I have a printed version of my mission statement on my desk at home, as a daily reminder to keep my business objectives and marketing on track. I was inspired by Michael Stelzner to write this statement down, if you haven’t done so already make sure to subscribe to the brilliant Social Media Examiner podcast, thanks Mike keep up the great work!
The first task for 2014 is to go ahead and produce a video training course on Better Social Media Management. I have it already written up and I estimate about 6 hours of screencast tutorials, slide decks and printout. This is going to take up a majority of my time for the first month or two, if you would like to get ahead of the curve join my Brite Social Mailing List, members will also get a generous discount.
Where ever you are in the world, enjoy tonight. I look forward to getting to know you, and I wish you and your business all the best for 2014.
